Adam is on page 103 of 224 of Guidebook for Instruction in the Christian Religion
Now that the semester is done, I intend to finish reading the segment that was not assigned in class.
Off to a great start (with the pick up) where Bavinck discusses the Covenant of Grace.

I am actually behind on my reading as I place this page number. I had a busy weekend. I should finish this tomorrow. 😅

Adam
Adam is finished with Against the Gods: The Polemical Theology of the Old Testament
The treatment and analysis seems short in comparison to looking at the similar “polytheistic stories”.

I really don’t buy the hypothetical conversations in this book. It’s is highly illusionary. I wish that he could have quoted these in practice.

Adam is 60% done with The Hobbit, or There and Back Again
So glad I pushed through this time. The books beginning is very slow and lacks the feeling of a believable adventure. Once Bilbo begins to learn how to be a burglar that’s when the story begins to really pick up. It’s does make you think, “Why was Peter Jackson doing?”

Adam is 35% done with The Hobbit, or There and Back Again
This is the another attempt of many at trying to get through the Hobbit. It’s a fantasy classic that I have *never* been able to get through. Today I made it further than previous attempts. My consistent struggle with reading Tolkien remains the same. However, a recent friend suggested that I read Tolkien as a “world builder” and not as a novelist. Here goes something!

Chapter 4 has been the best chapter by far, but this book is simply too repetitive at times.

I read the required pages for class earlier this semester. My plan is to finish this volume over Christmas break.

As a part of my continued readings of Lovecraft, I have seen this particular short story recommend several times. I gave this a brief read to at least get started with it.

Adam is on page 53 of 401 of Beginning with New Testament Greek: An Introductory Study of the Grammar and Syntax of the New Testament
This is my second read through of BNTG to really solidify my Greek grammar. I already have thoughts about this volume, but I will save that for the review upon finishing the second read through.
