I was in a huge reading slump. Found the audiobook of this on YouTube and I’m eating thisss up🤌🏼 as expected always from Trisha.

I will say… if I had a nickel for every time one of her MMC’s is locked up and has a picture of the FMC on his wall, I’d have two. Which isn’t a lot but still weird it happened twice😂

“Now I don’t know what I crave more. The kiss of the burning flames against my skin or the hands of the psychopath who lit the match”.

Aaaaah, I got a thing for the MMC branding the FMC🤌🏼 psychopathic but make it romantic😂

“Okay, lil spark. You like to play with fire. Let’s see how well you handle the heat”- aaaaaaaaaaah

Apparently Veronica Roth is rewriting Divergent because the majority of her readers hated the ending in Allegiant. I’m all for it tbh, I was planning on rereading the series alongside The Hunger Games anyway. So having a reimagining of the Divergent trilogy with better writing and a better ending…why not?

KASHTON:
“I enter the suite and come to a stop when I see Ashtyn, Jasmine, and Everett sitting at the bar”… the beginning of a bad joke💀

‘Stepping inside the room, I slam the door shut behind me. “Charlotte is a better person than I am.”
…“You may be pregnant, but your face isn’t, and I will knock your teeth out of your fucking mouth.”

I love Everett🤣🤣finally gonna suckerpunch the shit out of Ashtyn. She really had it coming.

Kashton is the most delusional simp to have ever simped😂

Haven’t finished a book since last year. The slump is real.

I just noticed that because I was on Instagram and followed and interacted with a lot of authors, I always gave them higher ratings than I felt was actually due. But I don’t want to lie to myself or others. I think Goodreads, safe to say, is a space for readers and not authors. So therefore, I changed most of my ratings just now, so as not to lead on people who might want to read these books.

Bookstagram has become a toxic environment for me, and I’ve noticed an immense amount of peace ever since I deactivated my account. I’ll stay gone for a little while longer. You can always contact me on here, and if necessary we can exchange numbers. Send me a message whenever 🫶

“Well, welcome to the family, random woman I’ve never met”

These are ancient old demons talking like teenage boys😩😩😩

I’ve been calling him Beez lebub instead of Beel zebub😭

Ps. This book keeps making me want to read other books. I really want to start Lord of the Flies now.

I don’t have a physical copy. Ironically enough, I’m reading this on the CIA their official government website.

For those interested: https://www.cia.gov/library/abbottaba...

This book is a little disappointing for something that I was really looking forward to. But on the other hand, it’s making me want to read The Divine Comedy, so I have something else to look forward to after I finish this.

“She was pierced”

I KNEWWEW IT

“I’d have preferred the bugs”

“She’s safe with me Lord of Flies”

Love this parallel.

“Children or a successful life outside the home. They could not have both.
Just as women so often found themselves at a disadvantage in their careers if they had children”.

This shit is pissing me off😩

I’ll be honest. But these random misplaced remarks on feminism, inequality and female empowerment really cringe me out. It just really doesn’t suit the story. And I hate when authors do this.

I could be drawn into a story and taken right out of it when the inner dialogue is pushing feminism on me. It’s not the place nor time🤦🏻‍♀️

Bruh, Satanus and Lucifer are two different entities in this book😭they’re the same freaking person.

I’m ruining my sleeping schedule again for this book😩

“It was something that few witches knew how to do, the intricacy of the knots needing to be specific to the cause, but they sometimes used them to make a person unable to enjoy a certain bad habit any longer”.

Magicians are known to cause separation between husband and wife. One of their many ways to cause this is lack in intimacy.

It’s evident the author did her research into the actual practice of black magic. Especially the ritual of knotting/blowing in knots.

It’s even warned about in the Quran: "and from the evil of the blowers in knots" (113:4)

Funny enough is this same surah also used in Ruqyah, which undoes this magic.

Margot has nipple piercings and I just know Beezlebub is going to love them🙂‍↕️

Putting all my books on hold to read The Damned🤭 this was my most anticipated release and I just got it in the mail😍
