Loving this so far!! So funny and engaging. The characters feel so real and fleshed out, and fascinating.

Wow this is really brilliant.

The MC is so shallow, vain, petty, and narcissistic. She’s OBSESSED with making men like her. She tells us she has ambitions to like conquer the kingdom but doesn’t seem smart enough for that.
It’s just a dumb story.
SOoo much telling and so little showing.
About 35% of the book is describing people’s clothes and talking about how great MC’s fashion sense is.
I’m liking it less and less the more I read.

So a lyrical novel is basically just a novel without any setting or sensory description and where all the sentences
Are broken up
Into lines
Like this.

I am enjoying the writing, but a lot of these poems feel more like regular prose than poetry, just broken into short lines... 🤔🤔

I’ve hit the jackpot with my reading choices this year.
This is superb, possibly even better than Bel Canto.

So good so far, just my kind of escapist fantasy

I like the story so far.
The writing is decent. Suffers from poor editing.
