I am upset that I knowingly started this book 2 weeks before the release of the second book. Like why didn’t I just wait so I could binge read them together???

The second book made me tear up. Definitely have a soft spot for stories about dogs

The world building/magic system is pretty simple, so it’s easy to follow and the setup isn’t too tedious. I found the writing engaging and fun to read. As a first book of a series, this was a solid setup and I look forward to reading the next book. 3.9/5

I would be mortified if my mother tried to kill my lover while he was fingering me in the forest and yet in this book it becomes a bonding moment
