Becca Kellner is starting When We See You Again
I feel like I couldn’t exhale during the whole book. As if she didn’t exhale, it’s all one breath.
I can’t rate it, but I couldn’t stop listening to it.

Becca Kellner is starting Come as You Are: The Surprising New Science that Will Transform Your Sex Life
Didn’t love that in the opening there are abounding statements indicating- it’s not you it’s the rest of the world. I understand the sentiment of wanting to validate the individual experience and normalize the isolating feelings of feeling different but not everything should be categorized as ‘normal’ or acceptable, specifically if harmful or perverse. I don’t like the victim narrative.

4.5. This book was endearing and thoughtful and humorous. It was certainly a bit weird, but creative weird and I was into it. A tragic story of friendship, love, trauma, and resilience.

I really like the concept of Fair Play- but this book was really challenging and biased. I felt it was more of an instruction manual as opposed to a conceptual book. I wish Rodsky had focused more on the concepts and yeh shift/reframe versus the detailed execution of each step of playing the game. In Thai regard it felt salesy.

Really appreciated feeling the sentiment of her frustration and the voice of her childhood self in the manipulated way she understands her mom- it’s so poignant.
