Ch23: God loves us back to life. We’re in His heart forever in Christ

Ch21: Being saved doesn’t mean you stop sinning. And sinning doesn’t mean God recants his love. Jesus came for sinners. He died my death, paid the price for my sins … that is the very heart of Christ. Don’t project your own view of how God loves onto him. His love is indescribable.

Ch18: He yearns for us… He’s pulled us into his heart and we CANNOT sin our way out of it. Let him love you.

Ch19: God is rich in mercy. Mercy is something He is, not something he has.

Ch20: Made right with God thru what Christ has done, not what we do. Open your heart to Christ’s love.

Ch16: He is infinitely more than us in all ways. So are his compassions. His ways are not our ways. We tend to view God through our own corrupt human lens instead of how He actually is.

Ch16: Exodus 34:6-7. The heart of God is mercy, and grace. His glory is His goodness and lowliness. Seen in OT and NT, glory of God passing by Moses and Jesus in the flesh.

Ch15: Gods natural work = mercy, grace, love. His strange work = acts of justice (afflictions/judgments). The very heart of God even throughout the Old Testament proves that.

Ch14: God is the Father of mercy. The Father’s heart is Jesus’ heart. If we know Jesus’ heart, we know the Father’s heart.

Ch13: The Holy Spirit allows us to feel the heart of Jesus daily.

Ch12: Christ is our deepest, most trustworthy, never ending friend. And also our King.

Ch11: Jesus understands our humanity and every emotion bc He was and is fully man, as well as God.

Ch8: Jesus intercedes for us. Justification = what Christ did in the past. Intercession = what Christ is doing now, always.

Ch9: He is our advocate. He feels what we feel and speaks up on our behalf, when needed, on occasion. Leave your case to be made by Christ.

Ch10: Love Jesus above ALL else. We’re drawn to God by the beauty of the heart of Christ. Let Him win your heart, seek his lovely heart.

Ch5: Jesus deals with those who come to him, gently. He meets us where we are.

Ch6: Those who go to Him will never be cast out. Whatever objections you have, Christ says “I will never cast out”. Cling to Christ.

Ch7: Bc of Jesus’ pure heart, he knows the true bounds of sin and grace. Our sins evoke holy love, healing, comfort, and compassion in Him.

Ch1: Christ is gentle and lowly (humble and accessible). He came for sinners.

Ch2: Jesus is love. He makes us clean he heals, that is his heart in action.

Ch3: Christ rejoices when we come to him, especially in sin. He lives to love and comfort. He rejoices in healing bc it’s healing Him too.

Ch4: Christ sympathizes w us on the deepest level, as he lived tempted yet perfect. He’s with us thru everything.
