Not even 10 pages in and the white main character’s black/asian best friend was described as having “Jungle eyes” - yikes.

Also the neighbour responding to “yeah he cheated on me with my cousin Tracie” with “the blond with the big boobs?” JAIL. WHO SAYS THAT?!

I hate it here

I hate how much of Aelin’s maturing from the end of the last book has just evaporated. She’s back to her “oooh I’m a badass assassin” sass that is making me roll my eyes so much.

I know it’s supposed to be cute or endearing, but “Fireheart” is the name of the main character in the first warrior cat series 😭

“Mate”, “male”, “female” … I hate it here 😭

Flirty banter starts before the second chapter ends… girl you’ve known him for 5 seconds - cool down please.

(Also her telling him she’s never gotten off is like the worst thing to read. Bestie why do we know so much about each other.)
