“…i’m still not good enough for him.” so my question is, what do you talk about in therapy… it’s been 12yrs, probably 17yrs, of the same thing.

the last half of the book is kinda annoying too. it’s just them reaching the physical side of their relationship and we lose the intimacy of their connection. it’s like, oh their old enough to write about them doing stuff, and it’s just a repetition of quirks they shared as kids. we’ve lost their emotional plot. at least i’m reading a lit fic next

ugh and now i’m irritated. bc why did you just do all that with sam for the first time just for you to tell him a sec after what happened btwn charlie. yeah, it’s giving coward, lame, selfish, self destructive, and self pity. it’s annoying. now you’ve taken this guilt into your 30s, still insecure and self conscious bc you didn’t deal with this internally or even talk to the people you hurt. L

tbh i keep crying cause i’m reminded of kalee and i’s closeness and relationship. that first month of knowing her feels like it was just yesterday. i miss her. i’m sad and hate that we ended our friendship but it was purposeful. i love her, but in the same breath i’m glad we recognized our differences and parted

i like the feel and lightness of the book so far. i love nature, hiking, woods, the whole vibe. i enjoy reading this aspect of the cabin and how her present self longs for it cause i long for it too and want to get out of texas and back on hikes

the whole story was about emily being awful and selfish towards her parents. she ran away into a danger and a life that looked good but the people around her were suffering from their own chaos. it took all of the villa drama for her to realize that she is lame and awful to her parents…

period, emily finding herself after this mess and realizing that she was so blind to being chosen by a loser man she didn’t know. he was pretty, wealthy and a lame. and now she knows better

prediction: nina is crazy cause she’s not medicated. she’s faking her daughter’s sickness, but plays it off at protecting her and not knowing it was harmful. or she’s aware and wants to make her husband miserable and distant. he sends her away. emily is just there but gets the guy. nina is sent away or dead. idk what she could be hiding under the kitchen
