Mr. North by Callie Hart is all of this and more. Who knew chess could be foreplay. Agreeing to play chess with Raphael North was Beth Dreymon’s downfall into his mysterious past. It also helped her overcome her past.

Epiphany by Gemma James — What a roller coaster! Sexual abuse, a killer on the loose, skeletons in closets and dreams of murders. Mackenzie and Aidan come through it all with the future looking bright. But there is more to this story and I hope there is more Watcher’s Point stories coming.

Trick already has survivors guilt when he meets Mina. Finding out about her abuse and feeling like he could have done something about it, almost costs him everything.
Mina is strong and a protector herself, taking abuse to save her siblings from the same fate.

Finally, we get Bridger Payne's story. The author doesn't disappoint! After getting dropped on his doorstep, Maggie unlocks his heart.
