I have read only one article but already I'm fairly convinced she's brilliant.

This is a padding exercise to try and get to 52.

Its muck, a dense slog.

TLDR - Attending on Empire is corrosive to the soul.

Keeping Alice happy a thousand pages at a time.

Pre-catholicism, satiriising a period that I'm only vaguely familiar with. It's bleakly funny, but I'm definitely missing too much of the context for it to be great.

I am THIS close.

It wobbled into being decent for a couple chapters but is back to being brilliant. Paragraph for paragraph his writing is better than almost anyone in descriptive beauty of the setting and feeling or mood.

Slowly but surely. I'm going to read about four novels after this. Anyone with an imaginative faculty can't read this much fucking economics and not rebel a bit.

Once more unto the breach. This is my third attempt at reading this, I have never made it past half way, pray for me.

A strange writer, a good book, I expect i will like others of his better.

I dont think im going to love this book in the end, I feel like it'll be decently good, but every couple of pages, sometimes for paragraphs, he shows that he's a truly great writer.
