I had one of those days book thrifting where I just kind of summoned books I wasn't looking for to me and bought a paperbag full for less than 10 dollars total. I clearly won.

For a debut this is really good. I'm at a 4 out of 5 stars. If you see the book on NG grab it. Old school fantasy vibes mixed with romance.

I'm enjoying this so far. I am going in rather blind so IDK where it's gonna lead.

I'm in this gothic fiction / fantasy mood as of late, so expect a lot of that coming up. Along with some fantasy of course.

I enjoyed the first book, and this book is about a cult (and has the friend who escaped through the air vent). So hopefully it's a good read?

Just gotta get through October and then my 'new' book buying ends until February, which gives me time to read books I own or I have ARCs for.

Are there any books I got on my arc / want to read list that are coming out that I should make a priority?

God, Bartholomew was the equivalent of Dobby from Harry Potter. I hated Dobby. The people absolutely loosing their marbles over this stupid child turned gargoyle thing is one of the many reasons I cannot stand The Knave & the Moon.

I am waiting for the official listing for the Seven Seas translation of Til the End of the Moon to go up on goodreads. The English speaking world will discover Tantai Jin and Li Susu and I'm just here for it.

Unlike the general public I don't freak my shit over not getting a physical copy or a copy in general. I literally requested this for the laughs (since everyone was getting denied) and surprise, I got accepted. I do like the death x angel trope so we shall see how things go.

Whee! Caught up with my reviews. Glad I got Our Strange Duet out of the way, and I thank you for putting up with my liveblogging of it last night. It was a painful read, but it had to be done.

Omg, Raoul literally offers her an exit to their marriage and she, SHE is the one who forces them back together. So, basically, she dooms herself. She causes Love Never Dies to happen and she gets shot by Meg.

What a sweet way of looking at it. Probably not what she wanted but hey, if Star Wars can get fucked by Rey Skywalker, Webber Phantom got fucked by Christine Daae.

My god. She and Webber just ruined the fucking end of the show. She made the Phantom give Christine the second kiss. She made Christine choose Erik to save Raoul and then has the gall to say "Raoul, you have to leave". Just shoot me into the ground. The hell?

wtf. So, she is basically coming to terms with Erik killing (now) seven people by saying, well, Mozart and all these others were geniuses but they were mad, too!

I can't. the hell has she and Webber done to Christine?
