Oh thank goodness, someone who knows how to write a historical fantasy.

If you are familiar with the writer of Cang Lan Jue of Legend of Shen Li, then you will enjoy this. There is humor and romance.

I'm not saying I deserve a copy of Our Strange Duet, but I was once somebody in the Phantom fandom back in the days of the Y2k era, so I think I've earned my stripes.

Interesting. So this book is about the librarian who created Caz.

Eh. Another 3 star read, I feel.

As an asexual (who is too literal for their own good), I tend to focus on the flow, characteristics, and romance comes third or fourth. You cannot write a romance primarily without focusing on the plot first. Yet, I'm finding a lot of people focusing on the romance first and the plot that I'm saddled with to GET to said romance is absolute dog-shit. Any one else feel me?

This one has a denser plot than the previous book.

Quick read so far... glad the author changed the age of the main character. 17 and getting hit on by someone 23? (Now the published ver. will be 18 going on 19.) Still, I feel like Kit should be older and so should the Capt.

This book has history, secrets, villains, punching, knives, really good characters, and slowburn. So far its a 5 out of 5 for me. Lets hope the last 15% sticks the landing. Did I tell you the male interest is Egyptian?
