I’m taking forever to read this bc I wanna savor it and don’t want it to end.

Very interesting story telling style. Sometimes I am getting confused in the side tangents and their meaning. Why did we talk about random folklore and how the little mermaid had her tongue cut out in the OG story? What does that have to do with lesbian intimate violence LMAOOO

This ain’t for me, struggling to listen to it

I have one pet peeve rn, I hate when books introduce a character who from a different country/speaks a different language, then have the character speak English with scattered words of the other language.

Example: Giovani in this book is in France (technically Italian) but in the audiobook is shown to have an accent. He speaks in English the entire time but randomly will go “bonjour! Je’taime” like huh

The writing style is very up my alley. He brings forth a lot of emotions whilst reading

Back to this diva! These books take a lot of mental fortitude and FOCUS so I’ve been taking breaks between them and I think I’m ready…maybe….idk I’m scared of what’s gonna happen to Fitzypoo

I feel less empathy for the main character (based on Sylvia herself) than I probably should and idk why. I am having a hard time relating to her feelings but she does spit a lot of truth about what women go through that holds true today sadly. (Example: why can men be promiscuous and it is acceptable but women must be pure?)

This is kinda giving ACOTAR and young adult vibes at times but then randomly is super violent and dark LMAOOO idk how to feel

As someone who’s mom got cancer but lived, this is a brutal listen. Very sad stuff and makes me think of how different things could have been for me…

Fitz be playing it toooooo safe sometimes but also I feel him bc I prob would be doing the same. Oh and my other beef with him rn is that he’s loyal to a FAULT. Heads need to roll but he too scaredddd

These books are so well written and pretty slow. Honestly I’m chilling with that. These books bring out a lot of emotions in me bc I’m TIRED of people treating Fitz bad just bc he’s a bastard…GET A GRIP y’all got a war going on leave my man alone!!
