despite being a so-called street rat with no experience or formal training whatsoever to back up her prowess in fighting/magic, she is somehow able to maneuver these situations insanely well! not once has she stumbled or done the wrong illusion! makes total sense!

this book is ruining any positive thoughts i had about andy weir. what do you mean your futuristic moon colony doesn’t have a fucking age of consent and they’re fine with a 14 year old girl sleeping with a man that’s in his like mid-20s if i’m remembering correctly? i don’t care if you’re trying to make some melting pot type of moon colony, but it wouldn’t be a fucking free for all on laws and morals.

wow i truly don’t remember the characters being so poorly written in the first book. why is every newish character literally an archetype of their role? the “villains” are so obviously bad and this dialogue makes me want to die
