The Adventure of the Priory School: I just found this boring to be honest, and I'm not really sure why. I just couldn't bring myself to care very much

The Adventure of the Solitary Bicyclist: Having read Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights, I had suspected where this was leading. I did enjoy it though, and had a fun time. Things escalated very quickly

The Adventure of the Dancing Men: I liked this one (I liked the little dancey guys they were cute). I had worked out that they were a cipher but of course hadn't solved it. I had worked out some of the solution, because it was a bit cliche for these stories, but it was still enjoyable.

The Adventure of the Norwood Builder: This was a fun one - it came from a different angle, and I really hadn't expected it to end how it did

Didn't realise this was published in 2012 and got jump scared by Harry Potter

The Adventure of the Empty House: I wasn't sure if Holmes would be written back into the world in a satisfying way, but Doyle managed it. This story definitely focused on how and why Holmes faked his death, rather than a particularly interesting case, but it was still an interesting and fun read

The Final Problem: This was a very different story to the others. It was interesting to see Moriarty at last, and a nice change of pace to see Holmes actually worried about something. RIP Sherlock (for now)

The Naval Treaty: This was a good one. I had suspected that the document would turn out to be a ruse somehow, but I was wrong. The ending seems fairly cliché in hindsight

Genuinely confused as to why these rich fucks care about this random kid so much

The Greek Interpreter: This was fine. It was nice to finally have Mycroft introduced, and to have Watson show his own powers of deduction, but it was a fairly boring story otherwise

Nicole I'm sorry for doubting you this is actually really good

The Resident Patient: Based on the set-up, I was expecting much more from this - I had expected secret rooms, so was a bit disappointed. It felt very formulaic. Definitely not the best I've read

Oliver is just benefitting from pretty privilege at this point

The Crooked Man: This was ok. It fell back into the tendency of just telling exactly what happened, without leading the audience towards the answer, but it was a fairly easy read and got the job done

The Reigate Puzzle: This was the first story in which Holmes and Watson really felt like friends. I liked that we finally got to see that they actually do care about each other, and that Holmes doesn't just see Watson as someone to trot around him. I liked the mystery, and found the clue of the note very interesting.

The Musgrave Ritual: This was another past case, but I liked it more than the last one because it had more of a clear direction to it. I was able to pick up on some clues along the way, and I felt that the ending was a satisfying one. I liked it

The "Gloria Scott": Being a past case, this story has a very different format, being told mostly in a letter by someone else. I thought it was an interesting one, but I would have liked a few more clues directing me towards the solution rather than just having the order of events recounted to me. Personal preference, I guess

The Stock Broker's Clerk: I was quite confused throughout this, and, even now, I'm not entirely sure what happened. I think that's a me problem though because I was finding it quite hard to focus today
