I consumed the first part of this book so quickly, that I feel like I need to read it again to type my thoughts out. The husband? absolutely shitty. it was very interesting to see how he didnt just view yeong-hye through a very misogynistic lens, but also how he viewed her sister (whom he heavily sexualized) and his wifes mother (whom he is disgusted by because shes old and cannot provide him anything)

dude hani is making so many dumb decisions 😭😭😭 like it’s so obvious the author is making her make these dumb decisions to get the plot moving

so far, easy palette cleanser read to get you out of a slump. plot is entertaining, but the writing is very YA and very telly. however, it’s entertaining and getting me out of my slump

i feel like the romance that the love triangles have with Laia is kinda sudden? with Elias, it’s like insta love or love at first sight which is a trope im not the biggest fan of

but with keenan he did a complete 180 with her? first he hated her but suddenly had feelings once he learned about her family.

but ngl this book is holding my interest i cannot put it down even with those complaints
