I consumed the first part of this book so quickly, that I feel like I need to read it again to type my thoughts out. The husband? absolutely shitty. it was very interesting to see how he didnt just view yeong-hye through a very misogynistic lens, but also how he viewed her sister (whom he heavily sexualized) and his wifes mother (whom he is disgusted by because shes old and cannot provide him anything)
