It’s taking me so long to read this. I like the moments between Harriet and Ben. But being in Ben’s POV has been annoying because of his “it’s my fault” complex for which I still don’t know what the “it” is. It’s not making me curious, it’s making me frustrated lol. I want to keep going though.

I’m not even sure how they decided she was the right person for this job. She seems fairly incompetent so far… and also not sure what her husband and his passing have to do with the main plot either

The library only had the audiobook version for this so I decided to give it a try. The story so far is eh lol the FMC is kinda dumb/airheaded. And the MMC is stereotypically broody. Also separate from the story, why is the MMC voiced to sound British but like everyone else, including his dad, is not? In fact, his dad sounds southern LOL wut?? I might DNF but for now will keep going

So far this book seems very Attack on Titan first season. Will see where it goes!

I don’t think I want to keep going with this book. I don’t love the writing style. These supposedly 1000+ year old characters seem so childish. I was really hoping to like it more but reading it has been feeling like a chore

It was… 0 to 100. Wut?? Idk why seemingly she all of a sudden she wanted to have sex with him after spraining her ankle but sure lol.

Had a bit of a slow start with getting myself to read the book (perhaps a bit of a reading slump) but happy to say I’ve made it a good chunk of the way in now! So far it’s pretty interesting. It’s starting to remind me of a sort of Dramione-esque fic and I’m starting to kind of think of Emily as Hermione and Wendell as Draco.

Why are Leon’s chapters not in full sentences? Interesting…

Okay so… she really should’ve told him more details about why they couldn’t work. Honestly, kinda feels dirty that she really just wanted to have all the positives but not share anything about her life and the shit show it is.

For some reason, I had the impression before reading this book that they were never going to confirm he’s faerie. Seems I was wrong!

Should’ve just burned the letters like they said they should be doing this whole time. Or maybe not writing such incriminating things. I feel like it would’ve been more interesting for them to be more clever and disguise the messages since you know… they’re writers. Supposed to be the best writers of this time, no?

I wish there was more reason on Roman’s side as to why he feels so drawn to E and her letters. And why are the letters all of a sudden already ending with Yours and Love? Like… when? Why??

This is reminding me a lot of Emily Henry’s Happy Place. It’s not hitting quite the same for me but it’s not bad

Now that we’re away from the family, it has definitely gotten more interesting. I’m sure in classic Ali Hazelwood fashion, Nolan is going to be a simp for Mallory and I can’t wait to see it heh. Story has been fun. Reminds me of Queen’s Gambit.

I hope eventually the sisters cool it. They’re really fucking annoying right now. -_-
