The Malazan comparisons are no joke. It's dense, and definitely dark, but I can't put it down. Plan is to finish this tomorrow and then order the next 2 books next pay day.

Real WW2 sicko hours

This has to be the least self aware book I have ever read. Lots of unsurprising details about how awful the people behind Facebook are, but the author so far is trying to act like she didn't play a key role in all of it! We'll see if that changes

I read these years ago, way before I started logging my books, and remember them being bangers. Time to refresh my memory!

Stopping this for now until my MMPB copy comes in. I'm enjoying it, I just want the physical copy in my hands!

That's right baby, a third read-through in less than 2 years. That's how much I love this series.

This is very well written, but man what a misleading title so far. It's primarily about other character(s) seeing what Vader does and not Vader's POV like I thought it would be. Hopefully there is more Vader POV later on...

The Sickos book club is reading this, so time to have it absolutely break me again.

I started this series in 2022 and stopped after book 6. That was my first year getting heavily back into reading and I just wasn't ready for something this massive. Now I'm prepared, so I'll be going through this from start to finish this time.

I'm guessing the page number because my Kobo changes them with my font size BUT I have 10 chapters left and my body isn't ready.

I'm about halfway done, and this is definitely scratching the itch. I didn't love the first 15% but, now that I'm in the meat and potatoes, we're really cooking.

Folks, I think this is Islington's best work.

Some of the criticisms I’ve seen about this are valid so far, but blown a little out of proportion. I can tell I’m going to enjoy this if it sticks the landing.
