I'm still waiting for something to happen or explain wtf is happening. Both wives perspectives are just so damn boring and take forever to go on about nothing. I get one is depressed and missing her wife from before this event they keep referring to. But fuck are we ever going to get to the event?! The other wife isn't reacting at all, she's recalling the most boring things about her sealife.

This is so good and engrossing!

Once you get past Edward's very dramatic thoughts, the insights to the other parts of the story are great and so dark

I absolutely hate the covers for the kindle versions of Laymon books. But they're the cheapest way to read these stories I want to read.

The pacing and constant character personalities of neither being uninterested in a relationship is very jarring. They come off better as friends and then it feels like a forced reminded of "but wait, this is a romance story".
