This book is incredible. Highly recommend.

Incredible just jaw-dropping work.

Trotsky has seemingly pulled a slight of hand, where he defines socialism as being more productive than capitalism, and because the Soviet Union isn't more productive, it therefore isn't socialist.

We try to distinguish the mind from the senses, in that we believe the senses are the place of error and the mind the place of truth. No! Believing that one group of nerves serves precedence over another is superstitious. "There is nothing false to be separated from the genuine."

What differentiates humans from animals is that humans can think. Thinking is self-consciousness.

Consciousness is the awareness of an object. Self-consciousness is the awareness of the self. Reason is the awareness of the other as being part of the self.

I am I is thought. Animals cannot think because they cannot say I am I. Parrots could, but they do not make the connection between the statement and their self.

Not sure if I like his language regarding so-called equilibriums, but I did find that it clears some stuff up. Though, due to how it is worded, it has arisen some confusion as to whether or not prices arises in production or in the market.

This is my second time reading Capital and I still wanna tear down the walls trying to figure out what Marx means by value

Been procrastinating reading this, thus procrastinating reading as a whole; today I begin the magnum opus that is Less Than Nothing.
