Chapter thirty!! I love this book!!!!!!!!!! Hang it in the Louvre

I am really enjoying the MHU series by Hannah Grace and I love the way she balances life things and relationships with a certain amount of spice while displaying healthy relationships. Reading the reviews, a lot of people are disappointed by how this is less spicy than the others this is but I actually LOVE THIS and I wish I had this balance to read when I was younger!! Halle is such a great character!!!

This isn’t really that relevant to this book, but I was thinking about the Odyssey, and it would really perfectly fit the TikTok sound that’s trending at the minute the one that’s like “nothing beats a jet 2 holiday and right now…” do you know what I mean, and now I can’t stop thinking about that.

love how this book starts with the most completely unrealistic premise. It’s exactly the kind of thing you want from the genre tho ahaha

Just a pet peeve I have about books in general is when the crocs of the book hinges on a characters diagnosis of a medical condition, but they never tell us what the medical condition is, like I feel like this would’ve been a good learning opportunity

The constant presence of the crib is really powerful.

The bit where she says that her rape kit took months because they had a backlog of so many to process, that some go mouldy…

BOOK CLUB - it’s giving our next book

I think that the voice of gorgoneion is making me think of a lot of persecution against women today. Like the severing the head is a metaphor for a man doing something to a woman after which she will be irreparably damaged. And then the Gorgonion narrator is reminiscent of the way, a woman might think and feel after that damage.

But I don’t know I’m not very smart.

Part of me only chose this book because the cover is so goshdarn pretty
