This book is SO BORING OH MY GOD
The info dumping, lack of plot, and poor characterization is driving me nuts. All this has going for it is pretty nice prose, but even that gets fucked up because the sentences are way too long and say a lot while saying nothing 😭

I'm convinced Octavia Butler was a time traveler because how did she predict everything so accurately
