Fun fact: While Upgraded is definitely a slow burn, once the spice hits it's absolutely off the charts. I loved writing some of the more unique scenes in this book, especially the voyeur scene in the shower and the sunbathing scene on the yacht.

A reader asked: What do you love most about writing romance? At it's core, romance is rooted in hope, and I love that. When you're reading a romance you KNOW you're guaranteed a happy ending, so it creates a safe to explore a whole range of emotions. I love being able to show the real, raw, human side of relationships, and doing that within the safe structure of a romance novel can be really healing and satisfying.

Fun fact: Upgraded features the slowest burn I've ever written. Anyone who's read my work before knows I usually like for my characters to get right to it (literally), so it was an incredible challenge to make these two resist each other for so long. There are so many delicious moments of tension woven into the first half of the story. I'm officially a slow burn believer after writing Evangeline and Alaric's HEA!

I love Sawyer's tenacity: in face of so much adversity, she refuses to let life defeat her. Tytus's devotiaton is my favorite, even if he doesn't always express said devotion in the healthiest ways. Mercer's emotional intelligence and strong communication skills make him such a competent, domineering hero. Finally, Noah's softness, despite everything he's survived and endured, is my favorite trait about him.

I love the challenge of writing why choose romance. Not only do I get to create multiple romance arcs between the characters, but I also have to establish a sense of harmony amongst the whole group. Men of Evercrisp Orchard has been an especially challenging series because the MMCs in this story absolutely loathe one another. I can't wait for Sawyer and her men to get over themselves and get their happily ever after!

The men in this series absolutely loathe each other. I love exploring the depth of their ire, especially with the addition of the big age gap between Tytus (21), Mercer (38), and Noah (39). This story is so special because every character has to compromise in significant ways.

“That’s not the game we’re playing tonight, petit diable. Tonight, I have something else in mind. Lie back and get comfortable. I want to watch.”

Almost Rotten picks up right where Almost Ravaged left off. Readers can expect immediate answers to the cliffhanger in book one, as well as more questions about the fate of our four main characters. Sawyer is convinced Tytus will cool down, and tries to keep everyone calm as he spirals. Mercer and Noah aren't happy, and they each cope in their own ways.

My favorite thing about writing why choose is playing around with the pacing of the romance arcs. I love that I can offer instalove, a medium burn, and a super-slow sizzler all in one story. Exploring and developing the interpersonal relationships between each character and the group as a unit is such a satisfying challenge.
