Abbey is on page 208 of 352 of The Titan’s Curse (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #3)
So a couple major moments have occurred: first Aphrodite interaction, the junkyard - Bianca that one hurt, and our first Rachel Elizabeth Dare encounter in the Hoover Dam turbine room. Also the introduction of dam jokes was a welcomed funny. As I start chapter 15 our 4 hero’s are being flown by Zeus’ giant gold guardian statues and we still don’t know if Annabeth and Artemis are okay.

Okay completely forgot about pretty much all of the giant wild boar thing, the little town, Grover getting the scent of pan and Bianca killing the skeleton soldier (which makes SO MUCH SENSE) but we’re at the graveyard and I know what’s coming. I love the way Ricks brain works with the little revaluations about the Di Angelos and how Hades really is the only one who stuck to his word (if Hazel doesn’t count?)

I love blackjack 🪽
Dionysus using his powers!!!!
Atlas, sorry - the General and Luke working together making baby kittens out of “sabre tooth tiger teeth” and Percy accidentally making things worse by becoming the scent for the zombie army as he tried to get the huntress clothing - typical.
I have a crush on Apollo and am scared for the Junkyard. Also Zoë is growing on me.

Couple things:
- Luke SUCKS, fuck that guy. I couldn’t remember how Annabeth ended up carrying the world and thought Atlas tricked her but of course it was Luke, loser.
- innocent, sweet, not messed up Nico is too cute
- I kinda hate but also wanna be a Hunter for Artemis
- I just finished the season 2 finale and am so keen for the 3rd season (it comes out in 2026!) also cried at least twice

I love this series

Straight into meeting Nico and Bianca is the perfect way to start this book! Not to mention Artemis and her group of hunters AND Apollo! God I hope they have all of this in the show next season because it’s so good! Thalia having a crush on Apollo is so real as I’m picturing a young Sam Claflin. I’m scared for Annabeth and feel like she’s ended up with Atlas somehow but I know things will work out.

Such a good start to book 2, the actual dodgeball at school with the giants, the grey sisters taxi ride (which should look like it’s made of smoke and should be grey) and then Hephaestus’ bulls attacking camp. So good but I understand the tv series decision to alter the series of events and remove the bull attack. It makes sense. Tantalus is an asshole though, screw that guy.

For a group of people who just smoke together in a church graveyard, they’re very good at this investigation and simultaneous coordination thing. Also definitely didn’t like Hannah to start off but now I like her after her lil interrogation with loser graveyard scientist who (as I guessed) had his experiment go wrong which is what has been causing the hostile incidents. Kinda scared for Hannah now though.

Captivating and fast paced. Forgot how I love M.L Rio’s writing. Definitely love the group dynamic as much as she does and am hooked on what’s happening. Empty grave now filled with mutant rats and people losing their mind in a similar fashion to the rats? seems suspiciously related and almost like an experiment gone wrong. Also does Edie have cancer!? So much to unpack but I’m intrigued. Might finish it today

Hooked and fascinated how the narrative voice is so different from Katniss or Haymitch. As I’ve already watched the movie it’s easier to imagine the scenes but more enjoyable to have the additional insight into Coriolaus’ character.

I’m completely hooked but also petrified for the outcomes of each character.
I feel as though Garraty isn’t going to win and am dreading the inevitable deaths of the characters I’ve already grown to love.
First Stephen King / Richard Bachman book and I get the hype.

The lack of insight into Sins thought process and the anticipation of what’s going to happen to Elli is eating at me. Also the lack of communication is exhausting, literally just explain shit to eachother already.

I did not sign up for a horror so can we get the suspense and scariness out of the way please?
I’m literally so nervous for the reveal of where Sylvester is and the poor person in chains.
Also why can’t they talk, why bang and scratch at their door instead of yelling for help or talking to them?!?

Now that things are heating up we’re getting somewhere but this read is taking significantly longer than expected. Sylvester (old man) is creepy and possessive but Enzo is overwhelmingly aggressive. I hate the old man stuff, he’s really killing the vibe but then add the prisoner (not ghost, actual prisoner) and I’m particularly uncomfy. Feels like I’m reading a horror with spice, don’t know how to feel yet

Love the Addie & Zade references, also how despite the morally grey aspect (which we love ofc) that Cage is kinda a gentleman.
Can’t wait to find out more about Mollys escape, what happened to Layla and the first time Molly & Cage met.
Only 50 pages and I’m already hooked!

The death of Tarik was immensely satisfying and the reveal of Raeve being able to hear the song of the wind goddess was honestly surprising. The more world building & reading I do, the more I want to read. I can’t wait to see what comes of the cloaked figure and how the book progresses. Once I figure out how to stay awake to keep reading when my eyes won’t stay open, I’ll be unstoppable.

The world building is dense and slightly over complicated due to lack of context and being thrown in the deep end. I’m eager to find out more about Raeve and the world she resides in. The current setting of the tower where she is impersonating a bard is definitely enticing.

I find myself stumped. There is a high level of reliability that the audience can deeply infer how our narrator feels. Although I feel as though I’ve been successful in this I am also slightly confused and surprised at Katey’s actions as well as reactions. (Katey’s response to Tinker and Eve’s engagement - lack thereof, her intimacy with Tinker and reaction to Anne being more than what she thought).

I am somewhat overwhelmed and disheartened for Katey. The scenes of Eve, Tinker and her developing their friendship to the night of the accident are a blur and after everything Tinker has done for Eve and the events that have unfolded - out of Katey’s control. I feel a longing for their original relationship with one another, slight hatred for Eve (her manipulation of Tinker) and mourning what could have been.

A commentary on society with similar voice to that of Donna Tartt and Sylvia Plath, I’m already gripped. The attention to detail and beautiful approach to world building has entranced me and I am eager to know more. From the first scene in the museum to the introduction to our main trio and their relationships I can’t help but worry about the ending but cannot wait to get to know them better.

Detailed, confronting, captivating. I know his mother dies but I’m still on the edge of my seat waiting for her to be okay, almost as though I’m experiencing his emotions with Theo.

The suspense and anticipation of finding out who killed Richard is eating at me. The strain of his death is effecting characters such as Wren and James the worst. The flow on effect of this effecting relationships such as James and Oliver leaves a horrible feeling in the pit of my stomach. I just want it to go back to the way it was at the start when all the characters to be happy, almost like I’m Oliver himself.

The anticipation of who is going to die and how is building. I’m eager to find out who as I currently suspect that it’s going to be Richard but feel as though that’s too obvious of a choice. It will more than likely be James and if so I’ll probably be quite upset. The setting of the theatre is so familiar and yet fascinating, it has reignited my hunger for performing.

Can’t put the book down, the story has quickened in pace and I cannot wait to find out more. I understand the importance of the flash forward to current day but it is slightly jarring when you’re in the midst of transition after a heated scene.

Still setting the scene and outlining relationships. Slightly difficult to keep track of characters due to such a large collaborative cast. I’m eager to find out more and dive deeper into the relationships and story of these characters.
