This book started off as realistic fiction with wonderfully flawed characters, and has now twisted into a delightfully creepy tale! I am hooked! I loved the writing style from the beginning, but am even more impressed as it has gotten darker! Thanks to Marie LeJeune for the recommendation!

I won this book at a conference where Barbara O'Connor was presenting. I have only read the first chapter and I am already hooked! I can tell that it will be a book dealing with important issues that kids need to read about. For some, this book will be a window and others a mirror, but I am so glad these serious topics are being addressed. (parent incarceration, foster care, and possibly mental illness..so far).
