The Other Mommy encounters continue to escalate. Bela's relationship with her parents and their relationship with each other continues to keep me hooked and wanting to read more.

I knew no one named Ursula should be trusted...

Someone else has seen Other Mommy for the first time... she's getting stronger!

This book is off to a very strong start. Other Mommy is incredibly creepy and the narrator being a child that doesn't really understand what's going on is the perfect perspective to tell such a story from. Bela is learning about Other Mommy with the audience. Bela trying to go to sleep as Other Mommy watches her from the closet is peak horror.

The second story is much more attention-grabbing than the first featured in this book. The Enchantment takes place in a world where it has been proven that there is no afterlife. Olive and her son Milo remain religious anyways. When Milo mysteriously dies, this only acts to further his mother's zeal. I am quite excited to see where this one goes.

The first story in this book ended too abruptly for my liking. Zoe and Agnes's relationship was very brief and could've been fleshed out more.
