I'm still totally unsure what to make of this novel.

Originality? Dual first person prose.
Issues? Its ropey in parts. Repetitive? Yeah kind of, too many characters and subplots? Maybe

Its taking me too long to work through this novel. But jury is totally out thus far. Only thing is I may not be capable of soldering through to the end in this.

Im having issues with this already: 1. Characterisation is off. We learn tonnes about both main protagonists outwit their inter-character dialogues (thus whats point of their conversations from reader viewpoint?) 2. Prose is mechanical and devoid of the angst & passion that ought be there. Hmm... Boring?

This main protagonist is frighteningly dispassionate. Here she is, perhaps responsible for committing one murder. Now she has seemingly blithly moved onto her next boyfriend - scratch that - victim(s)?

The plot is so non-existant that I'm telling myself this can only get better. I mean, once you hit the floor there isn't anywhere else to fall right? Things can only get better? Not counting on it!
