Ultimately, this experience is the goal of developing a Christian world-view—not just studying and debating ideas, but dying and rising again in union with Christ. Without this inner spiritual reality, everything we have said about worldviews can become little more than a mental exercise—a way to solve intellectual puzzles, or, worse, a way to impress others by sounding smart and well-educated.

Pretty fire. Covers Darwinism —-> Pragmatism —-> Relativism and then focuses on applications in law, education, and philosophy. I think that a lot of what she wrote was just about the applications of this thought process which make sense if you are an atheist. I think the best arguments she has were for legal bio-ethics and moral education.

This book is pretty good. Very story based. A lot of stuff you should know as a Christian wanting to help the body of Christ grow.
Simple things rarely applied!

It’s getting a little dry.

Basically it’s talking about Buddhist perspectives on interdependent co-arising. I just think modern thinkers, social scientists, and physical scientists articulate this better with more specific accurate language compared to generalizing language attempting to be specific.

I like these chapters cause I feel like they are more vague intentionally to try and communicate truths about God that are hard to describe.

He ordained that your story would be embedded into the glorious story of Jesus, and he ruled over every individual and circum stance that made it happen. His sovereignty gave the world Jesus and his rule led you to his Son.”

Live the life of a sad celebrant. Mourn the ways that you are far from the holy goal God has set for you, while you rejoice in the potential you now have to be what you could have never dreamed of being if this Holy One had not met you with his heart- and life-transforming grace. May your tears mix with joy …”

I am rereading this one with a guy I’m disciplining. The first chapter was a remarkably quick and easy read. Made my brain feel good. Then I talked to chat about alternate explanations for a universal moral law.
