Okay so in one of the previous books there’s a scene of them as small small kids and Eli is mean to her for no reason and basically tells her he will ruin her life…he seemed very psychotic. I’m not getting ANY of those vibes. And like they’re whole past as young adults does not seem to fit in with this story…what was the point of the build up for it to go a totally different direction

I fully appreciate Chelsea’s research and attention to the sports in her books. She’s done football, baseball, hockey and her details are spot on for them all.

Reread. I remember really enjoying this series my first time through. But after seeing some reviews this time talking about the off writing I have to agree. The author takes way longer to say anything than what is necessary. And I get that it’s supposed to be sort of poetic or whatever but I’ve caught myself eye rolling more than I’d like.
