What child writes full dialouge in their journal. Why didnt the author just make these chapters actively in the past. Why is everything spoon fed.

Yeah I'm back at this, it's a train wreck I just can't stop watching.

15 minutes in and I thought this is Twilight on steroids, no vampires. MC goes on about how if a man joins her in the private space, she'll have to leave, but he's SO gorgeous. Immediate 'wow he's so special to me.' Also opening up with thinking about suicide to move to immediate flirting to proposition. This is so much.

Further in, I don't know if I'll continue because this is worse than most fanfiction.

Why did I decide this was the year to learn more about history.

This is a great book so far but it is dense. Really enjoyed the portion regarding fictional books that were tried for disparaging the goverment, that was super interesting.

Ashley is 88% done with The Maximum Security Book Club: Reading Literature in a Men's Prison – A Scholar's Encounters with Convicts, Dark Classics, and Unexpected Truths
The tone deafness of this author on her mission to run a bookclub in a men's prison has breached the dam when she brings in Lolita for the next read and expects the prisoners to sympathize with him as a 'fellow outsider' and believes anyone engaging with the book Lolita can also see it's a 'deeply moving live story.' This take is too wild to make up.

Why did I think this was a good idea? Why did Dutch Van Der Linde's favorite author have to be based on this? He just keeps talking about beans, send help.
