Stephen Fry has been the perfect narrator for this series

Fave

Good ending

Lot of thoughts about this one.

For starters, the premise was so intriguing.. a dark fantasy retelling of Rapunzel? yes please

But it just fell so flat.

The MMC is so awful and boring it was a slog to get through. Their relationship was completely inappropriate and uncomfortable to read at times.

Fun characters interwoven into a beautiful mysterious setting. Good twist as well I did not expect

What I loved:

1. Mysterious small town vibe, felt like the setting of an early Supernatural episode
2. Clarke and Collin’s parents + Boone, felt like geniune and lovely people that you would probably meet at a pitstop on a road trip
3. Paranormal aspect

What I didn’t love:
1. Paranormal aspect - was not explored nearly as much as I hoped, I wanted to see more creepy adventures
2. Lack of chemistry/ insta lust

Loved

Interesting premise but riddled with plot holes.. I sort of guessed the plot twist which was disappointing but enjoyed the read for the most part
