JUST READ CHAPTER 10. I'M NOT HAVING A GOOD TIME ANYMORE!!!

At first, the language of the book was so bland to me. It still is, but I think it serves a purpose now. Meursault is most likely a sociopath—I think we can all agree on this—so it makes sense that everything is so matter-of-fact. That still doesn't make it fun to read.

And if I day I hate her dad AND Shawn?

I'm listening to this in tandem with reading the book and there's been a few times where the words don't match up. I don't understand why this happens, it kinds pisses me off. But it's not a HUGE deal.

I feel like the author has a very weird obsession with "first loves" and it's incredibly strange. I also hate how much the author summarizes conversations between characters instead of just writing them. Feel lazy, and it us especially prominent in the early chapters.

Just starting... very Hallmark already.

I like the world quite a bit. The author does seem to have some favorite phrases that can make reading repetitive. Everyone is "grimacing" and giving "wry" looks and smiles.
