i won’t lie outside of kitty i’m not gagging so far lol

MAMA WE’RE HERE

the levels of absurdity just go up every page

darwyn cooke’s art is just so magical

this shit is so metal the talking cat’s name is BEHEMOTH

i’m really sorry but there is so much to complain about that i dont even have the space. one character died and it described his adoptive mother’s mourning as “the scream of a mother who had lost her child”. groundbreaking

also if THE MAIN LOVE INTEREST was not in this book it would not change one thing about it that’s how little we know about her and how little development there is in their relationship

“i know it because she is the world to me too, the whole world concentrated in one person” :(

just realised i misclicked and accidentally logged this as finished LOL

this lady is all bark and no bite! bitch yell at your “friend” HELLO

i do like the discussions on capital punishment though esp from such a specific perspective and i think steffani’s chapters are extremely interesting and scary and sad

i really wish there was more chemistry because the romantic pairing but i’ve searched high and low and there is absolutely none whatsoever to be found

i won’t lie it’s a bit of a clunker

i like how angry this is

iwasaki sen don’t mog lee turner like that you’ll hurt his feelings

every time i start to like mahmoud he starts talking about women Like That

SOOOOOO insta-lovey and the dialogue is all completely ridiculous and not how anyone in the world talks but i’m having fun it’s still a bit cute

enjoying all the characters here but the story is just a bit too slow for me. it’s definitely picked up in the second half and i’m intrigued by raksh and amina’s dynamic especially + dunya seems nice but idkkkk im not 100% about this yet

i know i literally just started this and i was so hype about the concept but i kind of already want to dnf.

i feel like i need some more of mansur’s actual thoughts on delbar bc he’s kind of given nothing away despite the fact that they’re fucking and he is cheating on his boyfriend lol

have been watching the potc movies this week and i got the insane itch for a pirate novel so

everyone in this book is absolutely ridiculous

not massively jazzed about this so far

almost there almost there almost there. blackstairs are giants it’s so ridiculous i’m being so brave i’m almost there

i like the writing and i think it’s interesting enough but i literally have no concept of what is going on

made it to thule. sigh

the problem w this is that nothing that happens seems like it actually matters. nora is fine the whole time, meeting and abandoning jackson hasn’t mattered at all, the egg computer thing was barely a blip, emilie was barely relevant + even the bumblebee has mattered way less than i assumed it would. plus the dialogue is truly just LIFELESS i feel like these people have never met before let alone are sisters
