So I want you to know that Jesus is real. He loves you. He’s ready to take you as you are and change your life. Is there anyone here that has any pain or sickness in your body?]

Challenging, thought provoking, and encouraging. I may not agree with his stance on healings and miracles, but I get where he is coming from. I do however agree with his exegesis on being born again vs. just being saved by grace. Also, how to walk with seekers until they fully understand the cost of surrendering their life completely to God who they have come to know over time.

Wow! Such a treasure trove of information and applicable ideas. Listening to the audio book is helpful and it got me excited for the prospect of what these micro shifts can mean, but I will need to go back and study each one again and begin formulating a plan to implement these changes.

This book resonates so much with me and is exactly what God has been depositing in me but I wasn't sure how to unpack it. I believe this information will help guide me in creating the "big idea" God has given me. It's at least motivating me to continue in the journey and giving me some "handles" to grasp and hang on to something at least.

Just praying for the lost is ineffective if we're not also planting seeds of the Gospel in their heart. Just like a women can't get pregnant if there isn't any action involved. You pray and hope for it all you want and nothing is going to change unless you do something about it. The Gospel is meant to be proclaimed and demonstrated to reveal its power to save, heal, and deliver. It's by the hearing of the Word.

We have been given the responsibility and authority to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ and what He provided and to demonstrate that by commanding healing to manifest and commanding anything not of heaven to go. We don't command God to do anything He hasn't already provided. We simply believe we're the one's with the power and authority and we exercise it. We never ask God to do something He has told us to do.

"The primary activity of living as an apprentice to Jesus is to be with him in the river that is our life, accepting the relationship, enjoying the relationship, allowing the past to be downstream, waiting with him as the future flows into the present moment."

"Somehow we’ve changed salvation from being an exciting journey toward union with God into a legal transaction. We’ve substituted the four spiritual laws for the two supreme commandments and gone from living with God as his apprentice to going through the motions of discipleship as a forgiven sinner."

I am also motivated by the words of C. S. Lewis: “What we have been told is how we can be drawn into Christ—can become part of that wonderful present which the young Prince of the universe wants to offer to His Father—that present which is Himself and therefore us in Him. It is the only thing we were made for.”

"... the most powerful cure for burnout is to step out from under the weight of the world and to fall in step with the dance of the Trinity. When you are not dancing with God, we concluded, it is very natural to feel alone, lost, and confused."

Who Would I Be If Jesus Were Living His Life through Me? What a profound question to ask myself! My aim and sole desire is to be like Jesus. May I be able to say with solomn resolve, “I’m an apprentice of Jesus. It’s who I am and what I do!”

So much life in this book!

"When we place our faith in Jesus, we walk out of the darkness permanently. We walk in the light of life forever because of Jesus. If we make a mistake and sin, we still walk in the light. We are saved by Grace and maintained by Grace. We do not walk out of the light into darkness when we sin and then walk back into the light again when we feel we have not sinned. Either we are in the light or we are not."

Grace and Truth replaced the law. The law that was given by Moses written with the finger of God was blotted out by the same finger of Grace and Truth. John 1:17, Colossians 2:14, John 8:3-12

Jesus, my manna from heaven is more than enough to sustain me for eternity. His life inside of me is all I need. Nothing else will satisfy me!

Jesus was hidden as a shadow or behind a veil in the Old Testament, but fully revealed in the New Testament.

If we do not have this personal revelation of who Jesus is, then our whole Christian life revolves around our self-works and sacrifices. We tell our friends of our sacrifice for Jesus when we should actually tell our friends of Jesus' sacrifice for us. We boast of all that we did for Jesus when actually, we should boast of all that Jesus had done for us.

James wrote in his epistle that words act like the rudders of ships steering the courses of our lives. For this reason, believed words carry so much importance for the believer in every area of life and are key battlegrounds in our spiritual warfare. Whoever wins over an area of belief will define who they are and direct their paths to future victories or defeats.

When sickness or destruction of the innocent masquerades as an act of God, it maligns and blasphemes His name. The Church has often believed that the presence of sickness is the presence of God. We have been taught that God has a purpose in giving us sickness. This is not found in Scripture. Sickness does not reveal God. Sickness maligns the name of God who is Jehovah Rapha, the Lord who heals.

Evil spirits regard their hosts as their homes. Malicious powers do not welcome transfers from one domicile to another; usually they must be evicted forcefully. We can have every assurance that the blood of the Lamb is capable of protecting a believer who is engaged in prayers of blessings or deliverance.
