just learned what the word "jejune" means - 'bland and uninteresting; lacking nourishing qualities; meager.'

we're back, baby... and i have no idea what Geijer is talking about. my learnedness of political theory and my vocabulary are all but too weak to make sense of what's going on. nevertheless, we persist. the bug scuttles on!

felt like we were losing the plot there for a second but then he dropped the line “To sing in a choir is to give up the idea of being the only voice that matters” and that’s a timeless one right there folks.

thus far, this book is a masterclass in the organization and streamlining of thoughts. Wirzba is approaching biblical levels of cohesion. incredible.

“How’s this book?” Goodreads asks me. well goodreads, you haven’t offered me enough characters to answer that question accurately.

there was one incorrect scriptural reference + an instance of speculation presented as fact that bothers me, but besides that... I want to shake every person I know by the shoulders and tell them to read this book.
