This FL is incomprehensible. She is totally fine accepting a lawyer suggestion from a female friend but is absolutely triggered when her boyfriend suggested a lawyer prior. Ugh, I don't like how Eve's treating Rudy as a monster, and how she tries to offer Piper "help" by referring her to a psychiatrist, thinking that she's simply being controlled by Rudy. I do kind of understand why she thinks so, but it doesn't make me any less bit annoyed at her.

Also, can I just mention how incredibly sensitive these people can be? People are just snapping at each other everywhere

This murderer is such a sicko. Doing it on both ends and choosing no gender. I wonder if his character has already been revealed in the book because so far, I can’t imagine any of them being the murderer.

So far, many of the cases have been about sexual assault, which I guess is to further the plot regarding Eve’s past. It’s still kind of uncomfortable to read sometimes. This one was one of the more uncomfortable ones for me, alongside the previous novel about the cult.

<spoiler>So they incorporated Greek Mythology with the author's world of psychics. The twisted story of the Iliad was interesting. </spoiler>

Inspector Fumero's first actual appearance in the book and I hate him already. I think almost everything he says make me irritated at him. I feel so bad for the watchmaker for what he's endured.

Well, now I understand the reason for the title. And boy the guy's old. Older than I originally thought. Things get more interesting as I go through the book though I wish I was spared the sex scenes.

Things are getting interesting. It seems that Nate really is centuries old. I wonder what's his connection with the guy in Mars Warfare. Too bad he was killed before he said something. Is Dani his daughter? I think so. But what did Nate do with this lord? Too much questions at this point!
