I'm finding it hard to get into the second book as much as the first. There is a lot happening so fast. I didn't really like the 3 year jump in time from the first book either. With the publication dates being a few years apart as well it was really confusing coming into this book, I don't think they mention the time jump until like 10% or something. So you are just like wtf is happening.

I am a bit perplexed by the reviews of this book honestly. And maybe people are missing the point and investing too much in the characters. The description is very clear what this book is, I do think this is not the book to introduce one to this genre. But as I move through the second book, the first book is the present, the second the past or future can't decide yet. I think past. And is about Peter not David.

I think this, so far, is a great book if you don't know a lot about the history of Palestine and the Zionist movement. I have been appreciating the facts how the book is structured and the research done by the author.

Okay I was worried this book would be too YA for me, sometimes modern YA just cringes me out too much. But this book is really good and it has the studio teen plot lines that are predictable but also that you love and need. While be very down to earth and real.
