I am a bit perplexed by the reviews of this book honestly. And maybe people are missing the point and investing too much in the characters. The description is very clear what this book is, I do think this is not the book to introduce one to this genre. But as I move through the second book, the first book is the present, the second the past or future can't decide yet. I think past. And is about Peter not David.

Okay I'm trash because I for sure, no doubt in my mind would have gotten got by Edward lolol. The man clearly a con artist but God damn did I feel for David lol. And I'm like reflecting on my therapy conversation from this week like oof. Lol but I'm here for the late 1800s queer alt history DRAMA. eat me it was amazing, and so reality tv tantalizing.
