This book just keeps going over the same ground again and again.

I'm not loving Nicky Endres' reading quite as much in this one as I did in "Tell Me I'm Worthless".

Not loving the audiobook reader, but whatever, I’ll stick with it.

Really struggling with this one. I have a feeling the journey is the point and I’m watching the clock waiting for the arrival at the point. This is why magical realism and I don’t mesh well.

Dang. Poor Hypatia. It does NOT help that Lisa Kudrow played her in The Good Place. Visualizing Christian Alexandrians dragging her mutilated, broken, and SKINNED ALIVE body through the streets just… isn’t pleasant. Not that it would have been pleasant regardless, but… it’s PHOEBE.

Ooh very creepy toward the end!

I'm... liking this so far, but the writing style is taking some effort. Each sentence branches off in a couple random directions before coming back to the point, and it's taking quite a bit of concentration to not get lost.
Glad I switched back to ebook - I was very lost in the audio & along with the less than ideal readers, it was NOT working for me.

Started on audio without checking who the reader was - turns out that was a mistake! Robin Miles is hit or miss for me, Joneice Abbott-Pratt is a hard no. I just can’t take how melodramatic everything she reads sounds.
Restarting the ebook.
