Not really into Asa being relentless in his approach to his not-really-girlfriend and seemingly not really even checking his daughter’s emotional pulse after the drive-by. I feel like he def should have pushed way harder at Emma to get a response from her.

I’m almost certain AL Jackson’s writing is not for me. And Paisley is a grade-A jerk of a best friend…she’s basically steamrolling Dakota when it comes to her dating life and I hate that so much right now. Like just respect the boundaries your friend is putting out there!

Idk about this. I think Eve being 18, and really her naivety about certain situations and her childish reactions to things, is giving me a bit of the ick. I’m not enjoying this as much as I thought I would.

I’m afraid A.L. Jackson’s writing isn’t for me. I have like 4 other of their books on my “Currently Reading” shelf which doesn’t bode well for this one. 😬😬😬

There’s always something cringe about these books. Seems we’ve really hit here once Davis is able to get through the storm and interact with Elliot and Teagan. I also for some reason find it hellaaaa cringe that Elliot calls Teagan Mama (especially when they’re having sex).

Here we go again. I’ve been on a Jillian West jag for a bit, so thought I le give this another go after the last Jillian West book wasn’t cutting it. We’ll see how we do this second go-round.
