Plot holes and the romance is rushed

I like the plot but the writing is not pleasant to read. I can’t explain why. It’s like following many lines at the same time. A sentence inside a sentence inside the main sentence with different subject comparisons and metaphors

The plot is so good but why do they need to put so much description in this ? 3 pages for a tea shop ?! Come on !!!

I like the vibe ! The beginning felt kinda heavy though. There’s the visual descriptions of her new environment but add to it the description of the lore from the book it is from so it’s a lot of information for a start

Why does the author keep cutting conversations in the middle when it’s most interesting ?! Can I read the story please ?! You do it once or twice ! Not during 400 pages !

Pleaseeeee don’t give me miscommunication and à absence of logic on top of all that …

So many people were hype by this book a lot more than for the first. But I still feel disappointed. The plot is alright I guess it’s the best course of action but the execution kinda feels off to me. A lot of the lore is just dropped on top of my head

Evie is so precious I love how she is a mini spy. But otherwise I m not entirely on board with this book a lot of religious stuff and mysterious characters that popped from nowhere kinda weird for me

It should have been a quick re read just a reminder. But I m being hooked so easily

So the one who was sick and on her dead bed à few chapters ago is making bubble tea now ? Just like that ? No cure … plot not plotting again.

Plot still not plotting … I m bored. Seriously o only keep reading because the characters are sooo funny but it will not be enough to read another book of this.

So… à lot of people have been falling sick for months.. she maybe has a solution and didn’t use it until now ? Months later ..? The plot isn’t plotting.

They re all kinda crazy buy in à healthy kind of way I like that especially the family relationships it’s not often MCs have good relationship with their parents and not being traumatized. It’s refreshing. But l m worried their craziness will be to repetitive and not different enough and end up being to alike later
