Continuing my reread of the series via audiobook, as every new audiobook I've tried lately = mega flop, and Threshing Day made me miss Basgiath

I'm so bored. What will it take for a great spooky audiobook to cross my desk ?

This is showing a LOT of promise ! I'm excited

I tried so hard to get through and suffered for it. How are we over halfway through and pretty much nothing has happened ??? Why can no one nail the haunted house ???

The MC was beyond obnoxious, and I lost count of how many times she used the term "baby brain", like come ON.

DNF @ 51%. Ugh it hurts my heart because I do love B.K. Borison, and I was so excited for this to be released because it seemed SO up my alley, but I could just NOT get through it. Unfortunately, I think the audiobook ruined it for me, and I couldn't shake the ick.

Please forgive me B.K. - I will certainly still be tuning in for the next installment of Heartstrings.

Less that two chapters in and already obsessed with the Red Sox/ Fenway / Boston vibe going on !!!

VERY highly anticipated read for me, as Strange Sally Diamond (also by Nugent) is one of my favorite books ever, so I was super disappointed when the publishing date, originally set for September 1st, was pushed back to spring of 2027. Luckily, I was able to get my hands on an ARC. WOOOOO!

High high hopes here.

why can male audiobook narrators in romance novel not just speak normally? Why must they growl? Even when what they're saying isn't inherently sexy....? ICK ICK ICK.

Dual reading with the audiobook/kindle copy and seriously favoring my kindle solely due to Gabriel's voice

my first ever advanced reader copy !!! color me VERY excited

Reread, I missed Sally & this audiobook is just too damn good.

Such a cute premise, and I really wanted to love it, but there are too many books in the world to force myself through one I'm not feeling

Pre movie release re read !!! audiobook this time - narration is fantastic

The UK court system of it all is throwing me a bit, but I digress

Unfortunately am going to have to dnf about 30 pages in. Trying to be better about only reading books I'm really excited about as opposed to forcing myself through something I'm not in the mood for/don't like. This feels like progress!

Sybil is very much giving Tova from Remarkably Bright Creatures if she slayed and wasn't annoying af. The format with the letters was a bit tough to follow/keep the (many) different characters straight at first, especially since I'm listening, but I think I've got a handle on it now. The audiobook narration is phenomenal!

So far the perfect summer read. Had no idea the story took place in Ohio before adding to my TBR ?? I unfortunately don't have eloquent enough words to describe the way the writing is making me FEEL. Captures girlhood / hot Ohio summers in such a way that I'm sick to my stomach ! It really is completely too hard to be 15.

"June in Ohio was always either wet or promising to be."

Attn Kelsey :)

for something that was so hyped, I'm not really enjoying myself ?

“Gods” I somehow hate Dain even more the second times through, which I didn’t know was possible. Who does this mfer think he is ????

I wish there was a way that female audiobook narrators reading male speaking parts didn’t have to give me the ick

sigh, I suppose it's time for a reread. Listening this time!

ugh apparently I wish my library hold hadn't take so long so I could've read this in the winter! So cozy so cutesy so far

I am very unfortunately trying not to hate this :(
