Ugh. Please tell me why I shouldn’t DNF this.

Love Off-Limits is Tyler’s entry into the Hawthorne family. I read the Hawthorne series first, so it was nice to see how Tyler joined the family. Tyler & Olivia meet at Rosie’s wedding & spend the night talking & kissing. After one night & a serious case of “what am I doing with my life,) Tyler decides he can’t live without Olivia & follows her to her family farm.

The second book is Love Unexpected. It was well written, well edited, and had a good flow. It wasn’t boring, but I just didn’t connect with the characters. It was like reading well written fanfiction, if that wasn’t an oxymoron. Girl likes YouTube star, YouTube star falls for his fan. It just didn’t do it for me. Mid-twenties fanfiction.

The first book, Love Redesigned, is a story about betrayal (not cheating) and love rekindled. I loved the plot & the pacing was good. It was more than the romance, there was a main plot & the romance was just as important, but not more so. There were a lot of family dynamics at play. And, although the main characters didn’t get everything they wanted, it wrapped up nicely in the epilogue.

Ok book, we have an issue. Diet Dr. Pepper is the 2nd worst drink in the world! I have come to fight!

Audiobook: what is this voice?!

I hate this guy!

I’m about halfway through & this is either a perfect parody or the shittiest book I’ve ever read.

I’m giving this author another read & so far so good. Although, in the prologue, I was waiting for Finn to offer Kenna a bowl of Lucky Charms. Totally on me, but I got the giggles & had to put the book down.

“Cold & bloodless, like a bank teller”. WTF? At this point I’m only reading to catch little gems like this one.

I am really hating the mmc in this book. Something better happen soon to make me like him because he is 100% douche.

I’m waiting for Greer to become likable.

I haven’t started yet, but I want to preface this with the following: I got this for free & it sounded interesting. I bought the first book because I like to read things in order & hated it. I’m going to go into this one with an open mind, regardless.

I have high hopes for this one! I loved Piper’s book about Ford & Susie.

DNF. The MC was just awful, I don’t even care what his arc will be. He is irredeemable.

I’m on the second story, Playing with Pleasure & I have to stop. The “hero” violates one of her hard limits within a single scene. He doesn’t even explain why he does it. And the “heroine” is such a doormat. Every time she thinks something rational, she does the opposite (tee hee.) I’m disgusted.

2 mojitos, 2 beers, 2 vodka tonics and an orgasm on a roller coaster.........no puking?
These people are some boss-ass bitches.

Neither character has had sex in 12 years?! In their 20’s? Unbelievable.

So far, these are fun, engaging stories.

DNF @ 40%. This book is just dragging on & on. We get it, the h has no backbone & lets men treat her like property. Done.
