This is 100% a 1star read. Just completely nonsensical and unnecessary. Lily is damn near thirty but neither of these authors seems to know how to NOT keep writing her like some airheaded 7 year old. The shtick is OLD

It’s gets annoying that they write Lily like she’s some mentally regressed child.

This is becoming painfully stupid in a way that’s making my head hurt.

I think my biggest issue from this, isn’t even how irritating chase is. It’s how awkward the writing itself is. It jumps all over the place in a choppy way, hopping from scene to scene in a way that makes it feel like there’s no proper continuity in the story. Even the dialogue sometimes just jumps randomly and feels nonsensical. I’d enjoy myself more if the writing didn’t feel so amateurish.

In DESPERATE need of a 5 star read. I’m actually about to lose my mind, everything sucks. Send help!

As somewhat entertaining as Aveyards books can be, she’s such a heavy handed writer that it becomes annoying. The repetition in this is already grating, like we GET ITTTTT. YA romance whatever

Even as a teenager I already knew maven couldn’t be trusted. It was so damn obvious. I hate when authors make their MCs do obviously dumb shit, like trust the son of an egomaniac with mind control abilities?!

I’m ngl, I’m already a little bored and want it to be over. I think after a while, Ali Hazelwood’s writing just becomes repetitive and no longer entertaining. I DONT like them together and he’s just another carbon copy of every other miscommunicating love interest she’s ever written. Serena is yet another quirky self insert with the concept of a spine, but not a real one.
