so whats the bit of the guardian? is he supposed to be the love interest? is this a weird love triangle? either way its making me mad

here is the refreshing part of this book: our FMC Odessa isn’t a god like character. She hasn’t had some secret battle training her whole life, isn’t a master with a sword. Although in the description on good reds for the book she is compared to Violet from fourth wing or one of SJM’s characters I’m finding the opposite. Although she has the same sassy lines + deadpan humor, she’s not randomly perfect at everything

ok plot was already predictable for this first 20% BUT i’m excited to see where this goes so i’m still invested….. thinking i might end up liking this

i’m going to be kind while reading this…. i know i don’t usually like books like this but i want to so bad so im keeping an open mind

ok i dont want to go back on my word but sometimes the characters in this book act a tid bit irrationally and it makes me just a little upset, and also sometimes things just kinda happen and im like ? well what was the point of that? to have a longer book ig. i also hate the whole "we are the raven" bit that happens anyway this is still going to be a 5 star book! i just need to be fair in my review

ok i will say this, i could tell where this next part of the book would go when we mentioned the main character doing martial art training casually on the side.... like the author knew it was too outlandish that Neema would be scholar and be able to fight so put that note in early on to convince us that its realistic. not hating just stating
