I can’t tell if the author is just corny or if she made one character more annoying cause I swear the other character’s POV doesn’t ever have thoughts like this

I like the parallel of the “mother’s voices” in this. Instead of Norman Bates famously hearing his own mother’s voice (technically voicing it himself), Emily keeps imagining her late mother’s words ringing in her head giving her advice on what to do.

I got this book in a horror surprise book bag, I’m not super loving it so far but i’m about 1/3 of the way through and it’s a pretty quick read

He’s been talking about how much he hates snowmobiles for a couple pages but I really hate cyber trucks so I understand
