Unnecessary smut between characters that aren't the main... is going to ruin this book for me. I believe the only reason the author sprinkled it in was to keep smut addicts attention while the main characters are working through their trauma 🙄 Stupid.

I couldn't hate Joey's parents or older brother more 🤬

Definitely don't like books 3 or 4 (so far) as much as the first 2, but I think it's because it jumped so far back in time. I almost don't care to have so much detail of what happened in the past. I genuinely want to see how it goes moving forward from where the second book ended BUT we're not even close to that yet and I'm 33% into it.... Meh.
