I think this book was probably saying something new when it was first published, but now it doesn’t feel particularly original or unique. I’m also quite familiar with the experience it describes, so the social commentary doesn’t land as strongly for me because I already understand it. That said, it’s still a good story, even if the writing can feel a bit odd at times.

It's a big difficult to keep track were in time the book is at. If it's the past, the super past or near past... and even sometime if we are taking about an idea or reality.

Juniper is quite something... I like that she is kinda awful.

Sarah is a great writer, this book pisses me off at times for reasons the writer might have intended and others they probably didn’t.
