reading right after silvia😻 since my books were due at the library😻 forced proximity x age gap crush…im scared

i kind of hate how the writing is very millennial…but if it wasn’t, i don’t think i would understand anything about what he’s talking about

finally getting to the actual plot of this story instead of just skirting around and having cliff hangers. sometimes it seems like the author didn’t know what she wanted the plot to be until she was already writing the book

i’m probably off on my page # estimation since i’m reading Large Print™️ but who cares besides me anyways

i found myself wishing he would wake so that i might watch the life return

just realized i’m accidentally reading the abridged version of this from my library………..no wonder my audiobook was not matching my pace…..interested to see what happens nearing the end because right now both are matching pretty well

abbe is a GENIUS! edmond, we’re gonna get you out of there TRUST

first of all, there’s been like 3 instances in this where a character describes another character by just saying they’re really attractive…not sure how that’s helpful in a mystery but ok
second of all, chris is a pushover and needs to grow up and zara needs to back off

natalie’s internal monologue in college is kind of astonishing and quite a scathing read on the freshman experience i feel like i was getting whiplash

first chapter is similar to ‘the personal assistant’ i read last year
influencing seems so exhausting, people really act like this it’s actually absurd

it’s taking me forever to listen to this but i promise im having a good time

i like the back and forth between different characters per chapter
i don’t like how Peters will sometimes foreshadow/spoil a plot point that happens within the next page or even paragraph. like just let it happen organically, i don’t want to know what’s going to happen next
