I don’t care what else happens in this book. Their full first meeting scene is “chef’s kiss” 10+ Haitang Blossoms worthy rating.

I am not sure this author knows how to write friendships or the investigative process. Chad is off/grounded/limited in the active investigation AGAIN. It’s been the same in every book. If I had a coworker like Ally, I sure as hell would’ve cut off any friendliness in the future. A 40 year old doesn’t need a 45 year old acting like his mother and thinking she knows what is best for him. Frustrating!

Trying really hard not to DNF my first book of 2025… Adrenaline and a near death experience as a recipe for superpowers? Reminds me too much of the movie Flatliners. The time jumps keep killing the momentum. Ugh!

Anda Kent brought me here. 8 pages in and I am horrified by the content, but fascinated by the style of writing.

Entree to Murder: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3+ stars. I wished we had Mac’s point of view. The old ladies were awesome. Needed a better wrapped up ending like a small epilogue of the happy couple and the restaurant doing well during tourist season.
